2010 First Consultation

The first round of public stakeholder consultation on the new standard was held from March 3 – May 1, 2010. Based on the feedback received, the Standards Committee revised the draft standard and a new version was released for public comment on June 30, 2010. Consultation documents from the first round, including stakeholder comments and resulting changes to the draft are available below:

2010 Second Consultation

The second public stakeholder consultation took place from June 30 – August 10, 2010. To complete the revision of draft version 2.4.2, the Standards Committee considered over 300 individual comments from the previous  round. The Standards Committee also reviewed over 400 comments from the second round and developed a final draft, which was approved and sent to the GoodWeave International Members Council for adoption.

Future Consultations

All interested parties are invited to participate in the development of GoodWeave standards. Although the most recent consultation period has been concluded, feedback from stakeholders is welcome at any time and will be considered in the next scheduled revision of the standard. Please download and read the most recent consultation documents and draft standard before submitting comments.

Comments may be submitted by:

  • Participating in an in-person consultation meeting or webinar organized by GoodWeave (please contact standards@goodweave.net);
  • Sending a completed comment form or letter by mail to a GoodWeave country office (see sidebar for country office links);
  • Sending a completed comment form or letter as an attachment by email to standards@goodweave.net; or
  • Submitting comments directly online
